Enhancing Medication Adherence for Schizophrenia Patients in Taiwan through ICT Interventions

This article proposes a strategy to enhance patient medication compliance and mental health monitoring through integrating Information and Communications Technology (ICT). This integrated service consists of two components for physicians and patients: a website facilitating physicians’ management and monitoring of patient medication intake, follow-up visits, and emotional changes and a LINE application offering patients convenient access to various features such as my-Calendar for medication tracking, assessments, mood logging, and educational resources directly from their mobile phones. This service aims to cater to patients interested in collaborating with healthcare providers for long-term care and treatment via the LINE application. The long-term goal includes mitigating the progression of the condition and promoting overall well-being and longevity.
