Dynamic Resource Allocation Using Auction Technique In Fog Computing

Fog computing has surfaced as a promising paradigm for tackling the challenges posed by latency-sensitive applications within the context of the Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing. This Research Paper introduces an auction-based dynamic resource allocation mechanism designed for fog computing environments. The suggested methodology capitalizes on auction theory principles to dynamically distribute computational resources among competing tasks, with the goal of optimizing resource usage and minimizing latency. The efficiency of the proposed mechanism is assessed through simulation experiments, showcasing its superiority over current resource allocation approaches in terms of resource utilization, reduction of latency, and overall system effectiveness.
