IoT Based DC Motor Speed Control for Surface Operated Rover

The advancement of IoT technology has transformed various aspects of automation, including motor control. This paper delves into the development of an IoT-based system for controlling the speed of a DC motor, specifically applied to a rover controlled via the Blynk app. The system leverages the capabilities of a Node-MCU, an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module, and the app to facilitate remote control of the rover’s movement and speed. The Node-MCU serves as the system’s brain, receiving commands from the app through the ESP8266 module. It then generates Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals to precisely regulate the DC motor’s speed. The Blynk app provides an intuitive interface for controlling the rover’s direction and speed, enabling real-time manipulation of its movement. This paper demonstrates the seamless integration of IoT technology with DC motor control, showcasing the potential for remote operation and automation in various applications.
