Z Source Integrated Sepic Converter With Fuzzy Control For Grid Connected PV System

In order to improve the Single Ended Primary Inductor Converter's (SEPIC) voltage gain and performance, the integration approach is examined in this study. Since the present energy landscape emphasizes utilizing photovoltaic (PV) systems to their full potential in order to support carbon emissions that are as low as possible. An efficient DC-DC converter design plays a crucial part in each of these applications where they operate as power regulators. Although a large number of high-gain converter topologies have been published thus far, their structures are frequently enormous, unwieldy, and complex. Therefore, by adding a Z-source converter to SEPIC, this study offers a low-cost converter architecture that can achieve a considerable voltage gain. With their wide voltage converting range, low in-rush current, and reduced ripple current, Z-source converters are incredibly reliable. The advantages of the SEPIC converter, on the other hand, include constant input current, non-inverted output voltage polarity, and input-output isolation. The paper also includes different types of operation, voltage stress, and mathematical modeling of the proposed converter design. Furthermore, this study uses the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC), which is efficient in providing timely and precise error compensation, to maintain the constant converter output. This proposed work has a THD Value of 1.34% when the controllers are compared and the Efficiency obtained using Z-Source SEPIC converter is 93%.
