Boot Design and Verification of a Radiation-Hardened Chip

With the rapid development of aerospace industry, aerospace-grade chips are being used in more and more application scenarios. A erospace-grade chips need to be radiation-hardened so that they have radiation capability. This paper introduces a boot design of a radiation-hardened SoC, which supports multiple boot modes, including normal flash boot and triple modular redundancy boot, suitable for both ground and aerospace applications. It also provides a serial port firmware update mode. The boot scheme of this chip is flexible in configuration, highly reliable, and widely applicable.
