Simulation Design of Lighting System for Nepal Tanahu HPP

In the past few years, the proliferation of DIALux 3D, a cutting-edge lighting design software, has fundamentally transformed the approaches to lighting design. This software has elevated the design process to a new level where the concept of “what you see is what you get” is a reality.This discourse presents an in-depth analysis through the lens of a case study: the lighting design of the Tanahu HPP plant area in Nepal. Utilizing DIALux 3D as the tool for simulation, we have crafted three-dimensional virtual lighting scenarios for each operational zone within the power station’s premises.The validation of the lighting design’s efficacy is achieved through a comprehensive examination of various diagnostic tools. Specifically, the pseudocolor representation diagram, iso-illuminance curve diagram, and point illuminance diagram are employed to scrutinize the rationality of the illuminance distribution. A detailed analysis of the calculation report is conducted to ascertain that the computed average illuminance values align with the stipulated target values. This not only ensures that the lighting scheme provides an adequate level of redundancy but also guarantees that the utilization of lighting resources is both maximal and judicious, thereby optimizing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the lighting design.
