A Dual-Band High-Efficiency Rectifier for Wireless Energy Harvesting

A dual-band high-efficiency rectifier is investigated. It employs a dual-band harmonic termination network, including class-F and inverse class-F modes, to increase the power conversion efficiency (PCE) in the two bands. For demonstration, a dual-band rectifier operating at 3.9 and 5.8 GHz was designed. It has simulated peak PCEs of more than 72% at two bands. Moreover, it gives a high PCE of more than 50% as the input RF power ranging from 6 to 16 dBm in the two bands.
