A Novel Symbolic Approach for Analog Circuit Noise Analysis

This paper proposes a symbolic analysis method, which is first used for fast and accurate analysis of analog circuit noise. This method is based on the small signal equivalent circuit and noise model of analog circuits and is further combined with the improved Graph Pair Decision Diagram (GPDD) algorithm to achieve the automated solution of analog circuit noise. A symbolic noise simulator (SNS) is created based on the automatic solution method for circuit noise and applied to solve Operational Amplifier (Opamp) noise. The noise calculation error of SNS is within 5% compared with the cadence simulation results.
