Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer Using 3-Bit Liquid Crystal Reflectarray

This article proposes a 3-bit reconfigurable liquid crystal (LC) reflectarray with LC thickness being 40 μm. We investigate its application in the radiation near field for wireless power transfer with operation frequency of 30 GHz. Through controlling the dielectric constant of liquid crystal, the reflectarray can achieve dynamic power focusing and simultaneously achieve multiple focuses.
