The Synthesis of Planar Array Composed of Modular Periodic Subarrays with Minimum Spacing Constraint

In this paper, the synthesis problem of aperiodic phased array composed of modular periodic subarrays with minimum spacing constraint is considered. Through a certain matrix mapping method, the subarray positions that satisfy the minimum spacing constraints can be generated. A method based on the improved differential evolution method SHADE-SPS was used to synthesis the array. Some numerical simulations were carried out to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. The numerical simulation shows that the proposed method can effectively reduce the level of the grating lobe and side lobe caused by the the minimum spacing constraint.
