A New Mathematical Optimization Model and PSO Based Method to Solve Frequency Planning Problem for High Frequency Wireless Communication Networks with Diversity

High-frequency skywave communication is a form of narrowband radio communication, with the ionosphere serving as a parameter-varying channel that often encounters performance issues such as low link quality and success rates. To address these problems, diversity technology has been proposed for application in high-frequency wireless communication networks (HFWCN). First, we introduce the primary architecture of current HFWCN and elaborate on the application of diversity technology in HFWCN. Second, in response to the challenge of limited frequency resources encountered in current HFWCN, we establish a mathematical optimization model based on the HFWCN framework. This model clearly articulates the planning objectives and constraints of HFWCN frequency planning problems under different scenarios. Finally, based on the primary architecture of current HFWCN, we propose a PSO-based optimization algorithm to address the frequency planning issues in HFWCN.
