A Compact Range Quiet Zone Detection Technology for Large Aperture THz Antennas

The compact range provides a good measurement method for large aperture THz antennas, and the quality of their quiet zone performance directly affects the credibility of the measurement results. Compared to traditional compact range quiet zone detection, THz has significantly increased requirements for detection equipments due to its high frequency band and short wavelength. This article proposes a THz quiet zone detection method, which uses two laser trackers to measure the detection position coordinates in real time. The phase information of the quiet zone is corrected through post-processing, and then the amplitude of the quiet zone is separated from phase fluctuations and taper through mathematical fitting. Finally, the compressed field quiet zone index result is obtained.
