Design of Narrow-pulse Laser Transmitter Circuit for High-precision Pulse Laser Proximity Fuze System

To address the problems of low ranging accuracy and high power consumption caused by the long rise time and wide pulse width of the laser transmitter in the pulse laser proximity fuze, we propose a new design of narrow-pulse laser transmitter circuit for high-precision laser proximity fuze. The circuit adopts high-speed logic gate delay for pulse width control, generates pulse signals with short rise time and narrow pulse width, and drives GaN FET through GaN FET driver to control the fast discharging of the energy storage capacitor to the laser, so as to realize the laser transmitter with short rise time and narrow pulse width. Simulation combined with the actual circuit test results demonstrate that the circuit can be stabilized to launch a narrow pulse laser with a rising edge of less than 2ns, a pulse width of less than 10ns, and a peak current of not less than 27A, which can effectively improve the ranging accuracy and reduce the power consumption of the pulse laser proximity fuze system.
