A Dual-Band LiShu Guo-Shaped Patch Antenna for 5G/B5G Wireless Communications

In this paper, we propose a unique LiShu Guo-shaped patch antenna design. The antenna features an L-shaped feeding probe and utilizes characteristic mode analysis to optimize the feeding position, resulting in the creation of an upper band around 3.5 GHz. With dual impedance bandwidths ranging from 2.15 to 2.90 GHz and 3.45 to 3.51 GHz, the antenna exhibits impressive average peak gains of 6.9 dBi and 7.6 dBi, respectively. These findings highlight the antenna's potential for 5G/B5G networks, making it a promising choice for such applications.
