Low-scattering Two-dimensional antenna array based on Zero-backtracking Method

In this paper, a two-dimensional antenna array based on zero-backtracking is designed. The array is based on the theory of Van Atta antenna array, by changing the length of transmission line, phase cancellation can be realized. In the simulation, the spherical coordinate system is established with the center of the model as the origin, and the result is compared with the metal plate of the same size. Results show that, when the azimuth angle of the incident wave is φ = 0°, the Radar Cross Section (RCS) is reduced for any pitching angle. When the azimuth angle of the incident wave is φ = 90°and the zenith angle θ is in range of -50°~ 50°, good RCS reduction can be realized and 38dB can be reduced at zero trap position.
