Low-Loss, Temperature-Stable, and Li-Enriched Li2.12ZnTi3O8 Dielectric Ceramics for LTCC Applications with V2O5 Addition

i2.12
ZnTi

O
8
+

=0.5-2.0 wt.%) were prepared and investigated. The L
i2.12
ZnTi
3
O
8
+ 1.5wt.% V
2
O
5
ceramics, sintered at 925 °C for 4 hours, exhibit the optimal microwave dielectric properties:
$\varepsilon_{r}=22.42,Q\times f= 49592$
GHz,
$\tau_{f}=7.9$
ppm/°C (@8.6 GHz). The generation of VO
2
and liquid phase leads to poorer dielectric properties, while higher densities and larger grain sizes are the main reasons for better microwave dielectric properties. In the terahertz band (0.2 - 1.2 THz),
$\varepsilon_{r}$
ranges between 15 and 25 with a dissipation factor as low as 0.001. This suggests that L
i2.12
ZnTi
3
O
8
+
$x$
V2O
5
ceramics also have a wide range of applications in the terahertz band. L
i2.12
ZnTi
3
O
8
+ 1.5wt.% V
2
O
5
has exhibited excellent compatibility with silver electrodes. All these results indicate that L
i2.12
ZnTi
3
O
8
+ 1.5wt.% V
2
O
5
has a promising application in the LTCC field.
