Research on Low Computational Model Predictive Control Method for FP-PMSM

FP-PMSM (Five-phase Permanent Synchronous Motor) combines the dual advantages of multiphase motor and permanent magnet synchronous motor. This paper takes the five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor with star (Y) winding as the control object and deeply studies the model predictive current control strategy. Firstly, the five-phase motor is modeled and analyzed to explore the distribution characteristics of the voltage vector in the static coordinate system. Secondly, the finite control set model predictive current control (FCS-MPCC) algorithm of the five-phase motor is improved. To solve the problem of a large amount of calculation in the system, a model predictive current control algorithm with a low amount of calculation is designed through sector control. For the problem of software and hardware delay, a delay compensation strategy is designed. Finally, a five-phase motor system test platform is built to verify the correctness of the proposed method.
