Fault- Tolerant Controller for Fuzzy Singular Systems based on Proportional plus Derivative Observer

The paper investigates fault estimation and fault- tolerant control for a class of T-S fuzzy singular systems with actuator faults. A design method for proportional plus derivative (PD) observer is presented to estimate the fuzzy system states and fault signals. Furthermore, a fault-tolerant controller is developed, guided by the PD observer. Sufficient conditions for the existence of PD observer and fault-tolerant controller are given in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMls). The simulation example demonstrates the validity of the proposed fault- tolerant control structure.
