Bumpless Transfer Control for Switched Linear Systems with Hybrid Switching: Transition-Dependent Method

This paper researches the bumpless transfer control issue for a class of continuous-time switched linear systems with hybrid switching signals consisting of state-dependent switching and dwell time constraint. Different from the existing bumpless transfer results under hybrid switching, the transition-dependent control strategy is presented to increase the design freedom and decrease control input bumps. At the dwell time stage, the transition controller is inserted between the mode-dependent controllers such that the magnitude of the control bumps is reduced. By utilizing the state-dependent switching law and the bump limiting strategy, the new solvability conditions are derived to address the bumpless transfer $H_{\infty}$ control issue. Finally, the validity and superiority of the proposed method are verified through a numerical example.
