Structural Performance Improvement of Synthetic Electric Field Sensors

In order to improve the measurement stability and consistency of the field-mill electric field sensor, a sensor structure with low coupling and reduced electric field distortion is designed. A three-dimensional electric field model is established in the finite element simulation software, and simulation analysis is done on the key parameters of the structure such as shell wall-blade height difference and blade margin to determine the optimal parameter selection results. And for the problems of unstable outdoor operation and complicated structural assembly of the sensor, the integrated rotary shaft structure and waterproof drainage table are designed to extend the service life of the sensor. Based on the above optimization scheme, the sensor prototype of different metal materials is prepared and the electric field measurement experiment is carried out in the standard calibration device. The experimental results show that the sensor designed in this paper has strong linearity and high sensitivity, and is able to accurately and rapidly measure the synthetic electric field strength on the outdoor ground.
