An Transformerless Zero-Switching-Loss H6-Type Inverter with Non-Unity Power Factor

Soft-switching technology is an important way to improve the switching frequency and power density of transformerless inverters. The existing zero-switching-loss type inverters cannot meet the reactive power capacity standards of photovoltaic inverters due to their ability to operate only at a unit power factor. To address this issue, an operating mode of ZSL-H6 under non-unit power factor based on the zero-switching-loss H6 inverter is proposed in this paper, enabling it to operate in full power factor mode. Meanwhile, proposed inverter can maintain the characteristics of unipolar differential mode voltage and constant common mode voltage in full power factor. Finally, the experimental results of a 1000W/50kHz prototype were presented to verify the correctness.
