Approaching Vietnamese Folktale Culture Through 3D Scanning Simulation

Cultural beliefs in Vietnam play a crucial role in perception and serve as the foundation for shaping the cultural identity of each individual. However, due to various reasons, very few students have the opportunity to explore or learn about Vietnam's folk cultures. The aim of this research is to help students understand cultural values within the folk world through the use of 3D scanning technology directly on their smartphones. Using 3D technology, students can scan and engage in interactive experiences with vivid images of folk tales, allowing them to learn and comprehend the historical and cultural significance of folk history or extract valuable lessons from the stories. Through this approach, folk culture becomes more accessible and tangible, fostering evaluation and awareness from the perspective of students. Lastly, it emphasizes the importance of utilizing mobile technology to preserve and promote the diverse and rich imagery of folk culture in the digital age.
