Development of E-Module of Heutagogy Learning Approach for Measuring Instruments Course, Electrical Technology Certificate Programme in Community College

Teaching approaches are important in assisting lecturers in efficiently planning and delivering their lectures. Technological advancements should be applied not just for internet access and communication, but also in the teaching and learning (TnL) process. This study was designed to develop a website-based E-Module of the heutagogy learning approach to improve the teaching and learning process in the Measurement Tools Course, Electrical Technology Certificate Program in Community Colleges. The proposed E-Module is expected to make the lectures more engaging and effective for students. A product design and development approach was employed in this study to collect data from 15 respondents, comprising five experts and ten lecturers from the Southern Zone Community College. The usability of the E-Module in terms of interface design, interaction, content, and heutagogy learning approach was assessed through expert evaluation forms and user questionnaires. Resultantly, the usability evaluation of this EModule revealed a high degree of agreement in terms of interface design, interaction, and content. Respondents also agreed that utilizing the heutagogy learning approach is incredibly relevant and may improve lecturers’ teaching sessions. Nevertheless, larger-scale research is needed to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of this E-Module of heutagogy learning approach in enhancing students' knowledge and competencies, particularly in the Measurement Tools Course.
