The Role of Soft Skills in Developing Students’ Stem Competence

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of soft skills in developing STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) competencies for students. The study will examine the benefits of developing soft skills for STEM students, and identify effective ways to practice these skills in students. The research will adopt qualitative methods of description, analysis and evaluation of documents or articles published domestically and internationally. The article will emphasize the role of soft skills including communication skills, problem solving skills, and teamwork skills. These 21st century skills are essential for students' future development. The results of the study also show that soft skills are currently very important and necessary for the development of students' STEM capabilities. This research article hopes to evaluate and show everyone the potential of soft skills in the 21st century, in addition to providing a more comprehensive and general perspective for educators to invest and develop. Improve soft skills in STEM learning of students in the 21st century.
