Utilization of Remote Laboratory as STEM Implementation (Case Study of Mechatronics Competency)

The function of STEM can help with the learning process, including practicums, one of which is used in the remote laboratory. Practicum is a vital part of the learning process, particularly in the sciences and technology. A successful practicum demands a balance of equipment between the number of tools and participants, but in practice, the number of participants frequently considerably outnumbers the number of tools. One approach is to provide a remote laboratory that can be accessible from anywhere as long as it is connected to the internet and has a flexible schedule. The remote laboratory is made up of four major components: a server (which includes a computer or laptop), a processor, an actuator, and a camera. The second component is the internet device, the third is the user, and the fourth component is the software, which in this case includes ThinVNC, ngrok, and the given GUI. The remote laboratory requires assistance from all STEM elements in terms of compiling materials with a science approach, utilizing modern technology tools and requiring engineering to integrate them, as well as the role of mathematics in terms of using experimental data for statistical analysis.
