The Effectiveness of English Grammar Ability through Songs with Think- Pair- Share Technique of Undergraduate Students

The objectives of this study were 1) to develop lesson plans using English songs with Think-Pair-Share technique based on the 80/80 criteria; 2) to compare the grammar ability before and after learning English grammar through songs with the Think-Pair-Share technique; and 3) to study the student satisfaction towards learning English grammar through songs with Think-Pair-Share technique. It was experimental research using a one-group pre and post test. The sample were 22 third-year students majoring in English Teaching Program at faculty of education, semester 2/ 2023, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, by a purposive sampling technique. The research tools were 1) the 5 lesson plans using song activities with Think-Pair-Share technique, 2) the pre-and post test on English grammar, 3) the satisfaction questionnaire through songs with Think-Pair-Share technique, and 4) the In-Depth interview. For the quantitative research, the data were statistically analysed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation (S.D.). The content analysis was conducted by the qualitative research. The findings showed that 1) The song activities enhancing learning English grammar were effective, with scores of 81.96/83.89, exceeding the 80/80 criteria; 2) The students' English grammar ability has been improved after the learning management. The results were statistically significant difference at. 05 level; and 3) The student satisfaction of learning English grammar through songs with Think-Pair-Share technique was at a very high level, with
