A Bibliometrics Analysis of Online Learners' Self-Regulation in Higher Education Using Biblioshiny

This study analyzes the growth of self-regulation and online learning in higher education using bibliometrics. The findings show a significant increase in these topics since 2019, indicating continuity. The keywords have evolved into more diversified, multidisciplinary themes that suggest a complex connection between these topics. The study also highlights the increasing interest in interdisciplinary research. The central theme, higher education, is deeply related to self-regulation, online learning, and Covid-19. The major contributors are China, the USA, Germany, and Australia. This study's theoretical implications offer a general overview of the literature on online learning and self-regulation, with practical implications for researchers, educators, and students. Future bibliometric analyses could include new search terms and multiple databases to get more well-rounded perspectives and a more comprehensive review.
