Developing English Pronunciation through Social Media Platform by using Flipped Classroom and Cooperative Learning of Computer Education Students

To investigates the efficacy of flipped classroom and cooperative learning approaches in enhancing English pronunciation among Computer Education students at Rajabhat University. Given the global nature of the tech industry, effective communication in English is crucial. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to address the specific pronunciation needs of non-native English speakers. Flipped classroom and cooperative learning were conducted in this study. The purposes of this study were 1) to study the ability in English pronunciation through social media platform by using flipped classroom and cooperative learning of Computer Education students 2) to study the ability in producing VDO social media platform by using flipped classroom and cooperative learning of Computer Education students and 3) to compare learning achievement of Computer Education students before and after learning with flipped classroom and cooperative learning. The sampling group were the 28 Computer Education second-year students who enrolled English for Computer in the first semester 2023. The research instruments were consisted of lesson plans, pre-test and post-test, the ability in pronunciation assessments. The statistics used in this research were Means, Standard Deviation (S.D.) and t-test. The results indicated that 1) the ability in pronunciation was at high level (M= 3.75, S.D. 0.60) 2) the ability in producing VDO social media platform by using flipped classroom and cooperative learning of Computer Education students was at high level and 3) learning achievement of the students after learning by using flipped classroom and cooperative learning was higher than before learning at statistical significance
