Dynamical Analysis of Rotor System Controlled by Active Magnetic Bearing by Considering Coupling Effect of External Torque

In this research, new approach to dynamic analysis of rotor system supported by Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) has been presented. The external torque applied to rotor highly effects the system dynamics and influences coupling terms of radial angles. Rigid body dynamics and many control strategies have been developed with assumptions until now. However, presented model shows that rotational speed is influenced by other radial speeds. In view of this new approach, it is possible to manage high speed rotating bodies more effectively since coupling terms are also considered in the presented dynamical model with no assumption. Firstly, rigid body equations have been derived coupled with external torque. Then, 6 degree of freedom (6 DOF) dynamic equations have presented. Finally, state-feedback and sliding mode controller (SMC) with input disturbance have been designed using MATLAB/Simulink and response of system with different initial conditions for radial angles have been observed for coupling effect.
