Research on the Influence of the Heat-power Decoupling Methods on Wind and Photovoltaic Consumption

The combined heat and power unit has high thermal efficiency, but the heat-determined power constraint seriously limits the wind and photovoltaic consumption. This paper studies the influence on wind and photovoltaic consumption by four decoupling methods: low-pressure cylinder removal (LPC), bypass heating (BP), thermal energy storage (TES) and electric boiler (EB). This paper studies the principles of four decoupling methods to improve the wind and photovoltaic consumption, deduces the increased range; Establish mathematical models for the heat-power combined system separately; Improved the elitism strategy and proposed a successive over relaxation algorithm for EB; The results verifies that all methods can reduce wind and photovoltaic curtailment, combines with the principle research, it can be concluded that the CPL is fitter when there is a long period of high thermal power, the BP is fitter when the steam boiler has excessive capacity, and the TES is fitter when wind and photovoltaic is low. The EB can effectively improve wind and photovoltaic consumption and reduce system costs, but it will increase system fuel costs during non wind and photovoltaic curtailment periods.
