Prescribed-time SOSM controller design with time-varying output constraint

This paper investigates the prescribed-time control for a class of second-order sliding mode (SOSM) dynamic systems with time-varying output constraint. By applying the scaling function, the time-varying tan-type barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) and the technique of adding a power integrator, a new prescribed-time SOSM controller is constructed. The proposed controller can not only ensure that the time-varying output constraint isn’t transgressed, but also make the sliding variables converge to the origin in any prescribed time independent of design parameters. A simulation example is given to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed control scheme.
