Intermittent feedback control based on human inspired paradigm: A motion testing method based on the VR inverted pendulum

Inspired by human control paradigm, a new engineering control model composed of closed-loop (feedback) control and open-loop (feedforward) control has introduced the concept of intermittent predictive control. To better investigate the intermittent feedback control of the human body, this paper proposes a method of using virtual devices to track human motion to analyze this control. Through the control of single and multi-link dynamic structures in the virtual environment, which includes the control of the vertical balance of the inverted pendulum, the computer can collect the relevant data of intermittent control under different conditions by modifying the relevant parameters (such as the length and weight of the pendulum, etc.) for analysis and comparison. Finally, the conclusions obtained are used to demonstrate that the motion of the human arm in this process is more similar to intermittent control than to continuous control.
