Load Frequency Control of Power System Based on Advanced AFSA-PSO Event-triggering Scheme

To tackle the challenge of redundant information transmission affecting the utilization of network resources in contemporary power systems, this study introduces an advanced event-triggered approach employing particle swarm optimization along with the artificial fish swarm algorithm for enhancing Load Frequency Control (LFC) in power systems incorporating renewable energy sources. The paper begins by examining the LFC scheme to ensure stability and maintain security in systems with renewable energy integration. Subsequently, an advanced scheme based on event-triggered integrating both particle swarm and artificial fish swarm algorithms is introduced, which is aimed at alleviating communication burdens and improving network utilization for power system LFC. The $H_{\infty}$ stability of the LFC power system is analyzed using an improved Lyapunov functional along with the application of approach involving linear matrix inequalities. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the mentioned scheme, simulation models are constructed for a two-area LFC system and the IEEE-39 node system, confirming its applicability and efficacy.
