Research and Implementation of Adaptive Data Acquisition Algorithm Based on FOCAS Protocol

In order to promote the development of workshop intelligence and informatisation, two different adaptive data acquisition algorithms are studied based on the FANUC Open CNC API Specifications (FOCAS) protocol for FANUC 0i series machine tools. This paper firstly researches the data acquisition method of FANUC numerical control system based on FOCAS protocol, and then researches two adaptive data acquisition methods based on Univariate Linear Regression and Spinning Door Transformation. By conducting relevant experiments on the two algorithms, the experiment results show that the two algorithms can reduce the amount of collected data by more than $50 \%$, and the Spinning Door Transformation is 0.03 lower than that of Univariate Linear Regression in terms of acquisition error. In conclusion, Univariate Linear Regression is more suitable for applying to the position information and other data with large fluctuation amplitudes, Spinning Door Transformation algorithm is more suitable for applying to the spindle load and other data with small fluctuation amplitudes.
