Experimental course teaching research based on CDIO and virtual simulation technology

The new engineering education puts forward new requirements for the cultivation of innovation ability of students majoring in automation. Limited by the teaching mode and experimental environment, the traditional way is difficult to meet the requirements. Under this background, a CDIO-RI teaching model of automation experimental course based on improved CDIO concept is proposed. On the basis of CDIO, rethinking innovation (RI) is added, and an open experimental environment is constructed based on virtual simulation technology. Students take the initiative to conceive, design and operate experiments, and carry out reflection improvement and method innovation. Virtual simulation technology is used to fully stimulate students’ learning interest and initiative, and cultivate students’ engineering practice ability and innovation ability. Taking the course “Sensor and Detection Technology” as an example, the course teaching case design and practice are carried out to further improve the teaching quality, train students’ engineering practice ability and innovation ability, and provide a good solution idea and scheme.
