Optimal Dispatch of Multi-energy Systems Containing Concentrating Solar Power

To reduce the wind and photovoltaic power curtailment, improving the utilization efficiency of renewable energy, a strategy of jointly participating in system scheduling is proposed by utilizing the energy time-shift characteristics of concentrating solar power (CSP) with thermal energy storage (TES) and the charging and discharging of energy storage power station. Taking the safety and economy of the system operation into consideration, the objective functions are the smallest net load fluctuation and the lowest comprehensive cost, the multi-energy power system optimization scheduling model including wind farms, photovoltaic plants, thermal power units, concentrating solar power plant, and energy storage power station is established. The multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) with improved inertia weights and the Levy flight strategy is used to solve the model. The case study results verify that the proposed scheduling model is conducive to improving the wind and photovoltaic power consumption capacity and the system operation economy.
