Replacing the Suction Fan to Reduce Power Consumption in Spinning Mill

The Textile Industry is one of the largest energy consumers globally, with spinning mills being one of the main contributors to this energy consumption. One of the significant areas where energy is consumed in spinning mills is the ventilation system, which is used to control temperature and humidity levels in the production area. Suction fans are used to control the airflow and remove excess heat and moisture, which is critical to maintaining optimal conditions for production. However, these fans can consume significant amounts of energy and contribute to the high energy consumption of the spinning mill. This study aims to investigate the feasibility of replacing the suction fan system in spinning mills with more energy-efficient solutions to reduce power consumption. The study recommends further research to evaluate the performance and maintenance requirements of the new system in real- world settings and to assess the potential for further energy savings through the use of renewable energy sources.
