Current Estimator Based Model Adaptive Sensorless Vector Control Using Hysteresis Controllers for Induction Motors

In the field of electric drives, sensorless modes of operation are more popular solutions. In order to design, a current estimator based new model adaptive method with hysteresis pulse width modulation technology is presented in this work. In this paper a novel control strategy that replaces the sensor based parameters from current sensors. A new method of rotor flux calculation has been designed and applied in the hysteresis current controller with stator currents as input, which is estimated from the differential equation of state variables. Rotor flux calculation, phase locked loop (PLL) system, and slip speed calculation have been done to design a sensorless system. In order to validate the suggested approach, MATLAB/Simulink simulations were conducted under different motor operating situations.
