EyeGaze Control: Enhancing Mouse Cursor Precision Through Eyeball Movements

In this study, we present the development and implementation of a cutting-edge Human-Computer Interface (HCI) system titled EyeGaze Control. This innovative system offers a groundbreaking solution for individuals who face challenges in using conventional input devices like mouse and keyboard, owing to physical disabilities or other impairments. EyeGaze Control is designed to empower users by enabling them to control the computer cursor solely through their eye movements, providing an accessible and intuitive means of interaction with digital interfaces. The core functionality of EyeGaze Control relies on sophisticated image processing techniques. By utilizing a camera in conjunction with the OpenCV libraries, the system accurately detects and tracks the user's eyes in real-time. Subsequent processing of the detected eyes yields valuable data, including the direction and magnitude of the user's gaze. This critical information is then translated into precise cursor movements on the computer screen, offering a seamless and responsive experience for the user. The key components of our system include the robust eye detection and tracking algorithm, the accurate determination of gaze direction and intensity, and the seamless translation of these signals into cursor movements. EyeGaze Control serves as an alternative input method, bridging the gap for individuals with limited motor abilities. By eliminating the need for physical interaction with traditional devices, the system provides newfound independence to users, allowing them to navigate digital platforms, interact with applications, and browse the internet effortlessly. Through rigorous testing and user feedback, EyeGaze Control has demonstrated its efficacy and usability across various contexts and user demographics with more accuracy when the user operates with the screen for more than 20 seconds and gives 90% overall accuracy. The system's intuitive design and real-time responsiveness redefine the boundaries of inclusive technology.
