Exploring Stochastic Methods in a Bi-level Planning Framework Considering Operation Model for Cooperative Multiple Microgrids and Distribution Network

Microgrid (MG) is an important form of networking for achieving controllable access to distributed power sources. The integration and subsequent expansion of microgrids will inevitably pose more severe power imbalance for traditional power grid planning. This paper proposes a bi-level planning framework considering operation model for multi microgrids and distribution network (DN). The cooperation helps reduce operating costs and achieve safety goals over a long time planning period. Firstly, this paper analyses the output model of equipments in the microgrid and uses Monte Carlo method and K-means method to simulate the uncertainty of power characteristics; Secondly, the optimization is modeled as a mixed integer second-order cone programming problem. Finally, the problem is solved using an adaptive genetic algorithm, and simulation verification is conducted within a ten-year planning period in the IEEE-33 bus system. The results verify the effectiveness and stability of the proposed cooperative framework.
