Residential Community Electric Vehicle Charging Load Model and Its Simulation

Most Chinese urban residents live in residential communities, with hundreds to thousands of households in each community. As electric vehicles have entered households on a large scale, the number of private Charging-Piles installed in residential communities is gradually increasing, and the charging load of the electric vehicle groups in residential communities has become an irreplaceable new change factor for the distribution network, causing significant impact on the operation safety of the distribution network. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a relatively accurate simulation and prediction model for the charging load of electric vehicles in residential communities, which can be used to analyze, evaluate, and study, including the simulation models of Charging-Piles installation, charging load simulation model, and charging load simulation model of distribution transformers in residential communities. The existing models are usually based on data from the electric vehicle side and involve private privacy information such as owner behavior patterns, making the implement of the model more difficult. This article establishes related simulation models based on power grid-side electricity collection data, and the validity of the models is verified by actual cases in a residential community.
