Multi-timescale optimization of integrated energy systems considering carbon emissions and demand response

The energy industry is the main source of carbon emissions, and the realization of the “dual-carbon” goal urgently requires the energy industry to improve carbon emission reduction. Based on this background, this paper proposes a multi-timescale integrated energy system optimization method considering carbon emission and demand response. First, an integrated energy system architecture based on carbon information flow is analyzed to realize multi-energy complementarity. Second, the carbon replenishment equipment and carbon emission credits of the integrated energy system are considered, and the order carbon transaction cost is introduced to establish a low-carbon optimization model with the objective of minimizing the total operating cost of the integrated energy system. Finally, the arithmetic example verifies that the method proposed in this paper has a high economic efficiency improvement in both day-ahead and intraday dispatch, reducing the combined cost of integrated energy system parks by 3.9% and 5.9%, respectively, and reducing the carbon emissions of integrated energy system parks by 19.1% and 19.6%, respectively.
