Design of a New Self-Water-Cooled Switch Cabinet

With the continuous advancement of industrial automation, the issues of low heat dissipation efficiency and maintenance difficulties in traditional air-cooled switch cabinets have become increasingly prominent. This study designed and tested a new type of 10kV indoor self-water-cooled switch cabinet, aimed at enhancing heat dissipation efficiency and reducing operating temperatures through a water-cooling system. Experimental results show that under the effect of the water-cooling cycle, the temperatures at various measured parts of the switch cabinet were significantly lower than those achieved by traditional cooling methods, confirming the effectiveness of self-water-cooling technology in improving heat dissipation efficiency and system reliability, and demonstrating its broad prospects in modern industrial applications.
