Implementation of Fuzzy Logic for Water Quality Monitoring System in Koi Pond

Koi fish are among the most popular fish in the world. This species is very sensitive to the water quality in its habitat. Koi fish are a type of ornamental fish that have a big influence on water quality, thus impacting the growth of the fish. Poor water quality can hinder their growth, and many koi fish farmers face problems related to sudden changes in water conditions. Therefore, we need a system that can effectively monitor and communicate changes in pond water quality. This research aims to develop a system to control and transmit information about water quality. This system utilizes a pH sensor and a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensor to measure the pH level and concentration of dissolved substances in water. Fuzzy logic is used for decision-making regarding water quality. Tests were carried out on both sensors to determine their accuracy, with an error rate of 0,238 for the pH sensor and 0,1 for the TDS sensor. The system's implementation of fuzzy logic is successful, producing accurate water quality results categorized as Normal, Medium, and Poor. This research offers a solution for farmers to monitor water quality in koi ponds, ensuring the production of healthy, high-quality koi fish.
