A Novel 2×2 MIMO Antenna with Microstrip Line Structure for Sub-6 GHz and WiFi 6E Applications

Utilizing the capabilities of a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system to perform data transmission and reception through multiple antennas enhances the transmission rate and reduces latency in communications. Its characteristics, evolving with the fifth generation (5G) mobile communication systems, have become one of the core technologies to achieve this objective. Consequently, this study introduces a 2 × 2 MIMO antenna design that employs a microstrip line structure, resembling the shape of the letter “F”. The antenna functions across frequency ranges of 1.2 – 2.5 GHz and 6.7 – 7.6 GHz , rendering it appropriate for diverse uses within the Sub-6 GHz spectrum and for WiFi 6E applications.
