Analysis of Desilting Efficiency of Spiral Dredging Auger Based on EDEM

The screw pitch and diameter of the blade of the helical desilting cutter, the speed of the cutter and the forward speed of the robot will directly affect the efficiency of the robot. According to the characteristics of underwater desilting, through analysis and theoretical calculation, the parameters of pitch, diameter, rotational speed and forward speed of the skein dragon blade are determined. Taking the desilting efficiency of the skein dragon as the optimization objective, using discrete element software EDEM as the simulation tool, orthogonal experiment method was used to study and analyze the influence of each parameter on the desilting efficiency. The simulation results show that the blade diameter and forward speed have the greatest influence on the desilting efficiency, and the pitch and speed also have positive effects, but not as obvious as the blade diameter and forward speed. The optimal parameter combination scheme is sthe pitch 110mm, the speed 90r/min, the forward speed 90mm/s and the blade diameter 250mm. The study provides a reference for better design of spiral silting stranding dragon and improving its silting efficiency.
