A 2 × 2 MIMO Antenna System for Wireless Handheld Devices Applicable to WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 6E and Sub-6G Frequency Bands

This article proposes eliminating the need for additional passive components that can be applied to WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 6E, Sub-6G and 5G handheld devices with 2×2 MIMO antenna. The antenna is designed on a 30mm FR4 substrate with an overall size of 30mm×10mm and an FR4 thickness of 0.8mm. The proposed antenna has a wide bandwidth of 78% and the isolation between two antennas is at least −25 dB. This antenna can be applied to WiFi 2.4G, WiFi-6E, and Sub-6G various communication frequency bands, making it suitable for mobile devices.
