Design and Analysis of Microstrip Patch Antenna at3.5 GHz for 5G Application with differentSubstrates

The purpose of this work is to design two patch antennas to compare the performance under different board materials at 3.5 GHz. The comparison includes return loss, gain, bandwidth, and 2D radiation patterns. Then, we can determine which materials are suitable for the application of 5G communications. The “FR-4” patch antenna mentioned above has a Return loss of -40.85 dB, its gain is 4.84 dBi, and a bandwidth of 106 MHz. The Patch antenna of “Roger-3003” has a Return loss of -24.84 dB, its gain is 7.82dBi, and a bandwidth of 85 MHz.
