Dynamic error field analysis for compact synchrotron

Dynamic error fields due to eddy currents induced in vacuum chambers which are located in bending and quadrupole magnets of the compact synchrotron LUNA during acceleration are numerically analyzed by INCANET. The closed-orbit distortion (COD) and tune shift for one-second acceleration from 45 MeV to 300 MeV have been quantitatively evaluated and it has been found that those values are of significance for the operation. Finally, the relation between the maximum COD, the tune-shift, and the speed of the rising magnetic fields has been obtained. Several subroutines were added to INCANET in order to evaluate the effects of eddy currents on the orbit electron beams in a synchrotron.<
