Abstract:
The research provides insights into fabricating tall structures directly on optical fiber tips using two-photon polymerization 3D-printing. Various geometries were tested and the quality of the print was discussed. A structure with a height of 6 mm was successfully printed, establishing the current limit of on-fiber fabrication. The research also highlights functional tall devices fabricated with this method, such as photonic crystal fiber segments, axicons and lenses.
